North Adelaide is located 2.5 km north of the CBD. It has been laid out in the same elegant & symmetrical manner but as a residential area, in fact one of Adelaide's most exclusive. Established in 1837, the suburb is an eclectic mix of grand Georgian mansions and simple labourers' cottages and abundant in stylish galleries, boutiques, cafes, restaurants & historic hotels. North Adelaide is also home to the Memorial Hospital, Women's & Children's Hospitals and several colleges and churches. There is a railway station and Metro bus services.
